Psalm 119:130
King James Version
130 The entrance of thy words giveth light;
it giveth understanding unto the simple.
Fret not, that you can't seem to spell.
Maybe you're not word-crazy like me.
Maybe, your gifts lie elsewhere.
Maybe, you can't spell, coz you haven't heard the word spoken.
Or used in a sentence.
Maybe, English is not your first language.
And if I'd spell in your native language, I'd surely fail.
But for purposes of this English-written blog, allow me to focus on spelling in English.
Consider this word "SOW".
And its various "implications".
All supported by Scripture.
C'mon, say it out loud.
SOW.
Now, you must admit, it sounds like:
SOW (a pig).
Matthew 7:6
King James Version
6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs,
neither cast ye your pearls before swine,
lest they trample them under their feet,
and turn again and rend you.
SEW (such as needlework).
Psalm 90:17
King James Version
17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God
be upon us:
and establish thou
the work of our hands
upon us;
yea,
the work of our hands
establish thou it.
SOW (the fruits of our labors).
Galatians 6:7
King James Version
7 Be not deceived;
God is not mocked:
for whatsoever a man soweth,
that shall he also reap.
SO? (indifference).
Matthew 11:16-17
King James Version
16 But whereunto shall I liken this generation?
It is like unto children sitting in the markets,
and calling unto their fellows,
17 And saying,
We have piped unto you,
and ye have not danced;
we have mourned unto you,
and ye have not lamented.
You see, they all sound the same.
Unless it's spoken, or used in a sentence, we won't get it.
Unless we hear HOW it's used, it won't be of much use to us.
If we have compassion for each other, we'd simplify words for each other.
We won't try to prove our superiority.
Colossians 2:8
King James Version
8 Beware lest any man spoil you
through philosophy and vain deceit,
after the tradition of men,
after the rudiments of the world,
and not after Christ.
People can't spell, because there are too many variations in words.
That's why I put my WHOLE TRUST in the BIBLE.
It's God's HOLY BOOK.
It's so easy to understand.
GOD keeps repeating verses.
JESUS uses parables.
The intention is to help us understand God's commandments.
And yet, the Bible has many versions, too.
The HOLY SPIRIT led me to KING JAMES VERSION, or KJV.
I understand it perfectly.
His WORD is all I care to know about.
He doesn't care if I can't spell.
He only cares I don't fall under a spell.
Acts 8:11
King James Version
11 And to him they had regard,
because that of long time
he had bewitched them
with sorceries.
So, don't be so hard on yourself.
FOCUS on GOD's WORD.
That ought to get you to a good start.
